Lately I found it was really annoy me to wait my Windows start up process.
It takes time to long to really get “ready to use” condition.
I’m thinking all of software & application has been installed properly based on needs only.
Using CC Cleaner [1 version late], trying to re-tighten the needs.
And eventually I have uninstalled some of not really need / rare to use application softwares.
Still not satisfy my waiting time
Not stop there, I should have a look in “Start Up” application of my Windows XP always did once this laptop power up.
All I found is : Antivirus, Adobe Acrobat, Logitech Application, Yahoo tray and others that I don’t think I need at Windows Up.
Once again using CC Cleaner ‘Delete Entry’ located at tools, all of above not really needed to start applications has been removed from start along with the Windows Up
All finally I need is to start listed below :

And now I have a quick Windows Start Up.
If I need antivirus, still can go to Windows Program.

Since I’m not the only one who operates my Laptop…
Kids also the owner of this HP 520 once arrived at Home
Lately, Crazy Taxi & Revolt became their most favorite to play.
It’s been a week, this Notebook goes to Hang after a while I started Up Windows XP.
While beforehand, Kids are playing still with the game.
I’m not really sure, what might cause the Hang.
And needed to hard reset to work normally again.
But now days no more.
What I did, was asking Kids Not to MUTE the sound before Shutting Down Laptop.
Till today, it’s finely back to normal.
Before, annoying problem which had to even three times hard reset.

Last week my HP 520 had a power module failure.
So, no Data, no Internet, no part of life.
Now it’s fine, after fixed by HP Service Center Indonesia.
It took only 3 Days to analyze & replace the module with a ready one.
(Could be faster than this without administration :))
Any progress confirmed by Phone, no time wasted !.
It’s all for free since the warranty period.
A Better Improvement, thanks HP Service Center !

Windows XP Installation on this pretty sensitive notebook is pretty much complicated.
“Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed on your computer” … will be the famous problem found when starting the installation & Thanks to HowToGeek site & People who inspired this.
It’s SATA will not recognized by Windows XP if the SATA driver doesn’t exist along with CD Installation.
Here the steps (use another PC to create this customize Windows XP Installation CD):
A. SATA Driver
==============
1. Download Toshiba M200 SATA Driver at Here… at HP.Com ? Yes !
2. Run & Install on any directory you want
B. Embedding & Customizing Process
==================================
1. Download & Install Nlite
2. Insert Windows XP Installation CD
3. Run Nlite & Point the CD Drive once you asked for browse the “Locating the Windows Installation”.
4. Click OK & Define a directory (for sure create a new directory) for the Windows XP soruce file to be copied
5. Click OK & Next, a screen with will appear.
6. Choose [Integrate] Driver & [Create] Bootable ISO
7. Next & Till the screen “Insert” Button appear
8. Click & Choose Single Driver
9. Point to Directory where previous *.inf SATA Driver installed
Next please follow How to Geek Site
for complete snapshot & better look.
I’m just suggesting installing your SATA driver first before creating Windows XP CD Installation with embedded SATA Driver..
Thanks to Koh Ery Anggara as well.

Moved from Oprekan.Wordpress.Com,
working with Acer Aspire 4310.

The default OS was Vista, which extremely slow for this Celeron M Engine.
Moving to XP was not an easy one.
Some devices might not work finely for you.
And drivers became useless.
Getting hard work overcoming this, I got Realtek Sound was in trouble.
None of any good/bad driver make any better on the installation.
All this notebook has to say at the end of installation process was
“Install Realtek HD Audio Driver Failure” !!.
Eventually “Chicky” on his written experience really bright me up and sound completely working out !.
Here the steps :
- Right Click My Computer (Properties)
- Hardware
- Device Manager
- System Devices
- Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for HD Audio
- Disable first, then Uninstall
- Close All, re install your Zip Audio XP file.
Should be working.
On HP 520, if you have all driver fine. But it’s not working, you can try the same steps.

New Laptop arrived yesterday.
HP 520 pretty nice looks.

Not a perfect one, but equipped with PCMCIA type I/II is really useful.
As GSM Express Data Card is much more expensive compared to PCMCIA type.
Installation begins, using Windows XP.
Immediately Issue comes Up !

Windows XP cannot detect any HDD (Hard Drive).
It might be HDD is not turned on
Googling somewhere, found nothing..
Googling anywhere…
Best steps from Sempre Bello in Yahoo Q&A with straightly to the point.

1. Boot Your Laptop
2. Press F10 to go to BIOS Setup
3. Go to System Configuration Tab
4. Go to Device Configurations
5. Disabled “SATA Native Mode”
6. F10 for save change & Exit
7. Boot your HP 520 with Windows XP CD in CDROM

8. No More Issues ! with HDD Detection
For High Definition Audio HP 520 with Windows XP running, the driver is here at HP WebSite (Install MS UAA previously).

Pretty cool black.
Instalasi Driver tidak serumit Acer 4310.
Meski sama2 bawaan untuk Windows Vista.
Namun Lenovo 3000 G400 jauh lebih mudah.
Semua proses tinggal diikuti.
Yang penting untuk WinXP adalah 2 Driver :
- Chipset
- VGA / Intel Display
Silakan download disini untuk WinXP
Karena dari CD bawaan adalah untuk Windows Vista
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-68891
Sebenarnya kalo dipaksa menggunakan Driver Vista bisa juga.
Namun untuk Game seperti Revolt & Crazy taxi tidak jalan.
Ada Error “No Available Zbuffer”
Demikian
